The Space

In 1965, my grandmother Soon opened a hair salon at 364 S Maple Drive. She built the business. Word of mouth and recommendations led to big Hollywood names becoming her clients including Lucille Ball, Priscilla Presley, and Betty White.

Sixty years later, my partner Mike and I are running a coffee and flower shop out of the same address. Light and bright, roughly 2,084 sq ft with a big windowline facing Maple, at Maple & Olympic. Same instinct: one place, done extremely well where people leave feeling a little more taken care of.

Quality & Care

Every stem is sourced with intention. Flowers are sold by the stem. Some premade bouquets ready to take home. The same care goes into what's on the menu: organic ingredients from the Santa Monica and Marvista Farmers Market, fair trade coffee, Tehachapi Grain Project flour in our pastries, gluten free options available.

We'll have a small menu of espresso, tea, seasonal drinks, breakfast burritos, banana bread, blueberry poppyseed muffins, and black sesame toffee crunch cookies.

From the pastries to the art on the walls, we are proud of everything we have selected to be in our store.

Emma & Mike

Mike is a chef, trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, with experience in hospitality in kitchens from Spago in Beverly Hills to Blackberry Mountain in Tennessee.

We spent ten years away, living in New York City, Mexico City, Austin, the Pacific Northwest, Europe, and Knoxville. We renovated a 1974 Airstream together and traveled most of the U.S. in it.

After all the traveling, we realized there's no better place for us to call home than LA. We moved back last July, and this shop is us bringing together everything we learned on our travels with everything we love about living here in California.
